The shrine is recognized as the first Muslim mosque and an architectural monument. According to historical data, it was built by Qutaybah ibn Muslim after the temples of fire worshipers were destroyed in the 8th century.

In 2018, the Memorial Complex to the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was built next to this mosque. Despite the fact that it’s already autumn in the yard, the complex surprises with its spring beauty.
