At a press conference organized with the support of the embassies of the European Union member states accredited in Uzbekistan and the Cinematography Agency, the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar, and the Director of the Cinematography Agency Shukhrat Rizayev, emphasized that cooperation in the field of cinema and the traditional holding of the festival play an essential role in strengthening cultural ties.
“This year, we are launching the European Film Festival for the tenth time”, Shukhrat Rizayev said. “This reflects our fruitful and long-term cooperation with the European film industry. The universal language of cinema is understood worldwide. Every viewer can draw important life lessons from it. Cultural exchanges and film screenings promote better mutual understanding between our peoples”.
“The festival features films produced in 12 European countries, and I believe they will touch the hearts of viewers”, Ambassador Toivo Klaar said. “This event serves as a bridge of friendship and cultural dialogue between the peoples of Europe and Uzbekistan”.
The film festival’s program includes lyrical dramas, inspiring life stories about self-discovery, and works that explore human emotions. Classical and contemporary dances will be performed by the renowned Spanish group “Aire Nuevo Danza”.
