A documentary film about the life and work of Abu Ali ibn Sina “Avicenna: Light from the East” directed by Shukhrat Makhmudov was shown in Jakarta to further popularize pilgrimage tourism and promote a positive image of Uzbekistan in Indonesia.

The documentary was translated into Indonesian by Antara News Agency.

The organizers held a press conference for media representatives and visitors, who received answers to their questions about the history of Uzbekistan. A presentation of the works of Abu Ali ibn Sina, available in the book fund of the National Library in Jakarta, took place.

Following the event, a quiz “Who knows more about Uzbekistan?” was held. The winners received valuable prizes from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Jakarta.

At the request of the Indonesian side, the screening of a documentary film about the life and work of Abu Ali ibn Sina will continue until the end of the week.
