Members of the delegation, consisting of a group of district hokims and entrepreneurs of Surkhandarya region, arrived in Tatarstan to attend the 15th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, in Tatarstan.

According to Surkhandarya Regional Hokimiyat, Murodbek Davlatov, a delegation led by the Deputy Hokim of the region – head of the regional department of investment and foreign trade, Sherali Jurayev, took part in the ceremony of the international exhibition of the halal industry “Russia Halal Expo”. Sherali Jurayev also met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko and discussed further enhancing cooperation and implementing projects outlined during previous negotiations.

Members of the delegation got acquainted with modern production enterprises in Kazan and held meetings with entrepreneurs.

The Forum is the primary federal platform for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world, the purpose of which is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. This year’s forum program included the international exhibition of economic, scientific, and technological cooperation “Russia Halal Expo”, the global trade fair “Russia Halal Market” and other events and festivals.
