The delegation led by Federal Government Commissioner for Matters Related to Ethnic German Resettlers and National Minorities, Bernd Fabritius, visited Fergana region.
It was noted that friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Germany are consistently developing in various fields and entering a new level of cooperation within the framework of official visits of the heads of the two countries. Germany’s advanced achievements in science and technology were highlighted.
Fergana region’s Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov provided information on cooperation in economic sectors and successfully implemented joint projects and drew special attention to the fact that representatives of more than 130 nationalities and nations live in peace and harmony in Uzbekistan, and their rights are fully ensured. There are over 8,000 citizens of German nationality among the residents of Uzbekistan, of whom about 500 live in Fergana region.

It was also mentioned at the meeting that Fergana youth are interested in German language courses, some are improving their knowledge in Germany, and are even engaged in work activities.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further strengthening cooperation.
The guests also became familiar with the activities of the Yodgorlik enterprise in Margilan and the German Cultural Center in Fergana.
