These days the 15th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” is taking place in Kazan.

According to the forum program, 125 thematic sessions are held in 12 areas besides the main events. This major event is attended by 20,000 representatives from 85 countries who have passed special certification, as well as delegations from several regions of Uzbekistan.

At the invitation of the Committee for Tourism Development of Kazan, representatives of the tourism departments of Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent regions, as well as travel companies, held B2B meetings with local travel agencies of Kazan and organized presentations. They also took part in a press tour of Kazan to familiarize themselves with the city’s tourism potential.

“I am taking part in a forum with Bukhara embroidery”, says artisan Surayyo Khalilova. “We brought a lot of products that the forum participants like. Women buy dresses, chapans, and sleeveless vests embroidered with national patterns. Information about our ancient city of Bukhara is also of great interest”.

Uzbekistan is participating in the exhibition organized as part of the forum, with its “Made in Uzbekistan” stand.

The forum will run until May 19 this year.
