During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Azerbaijan, about 20 essential documents on cooperation in various fields were signed.

In particular, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the Minister of the Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov signed a Protocol on Cooperation between the Uzbek Accreditation Center and the Azerbaijan Accreditation Center.

According to the document, both parties will strengthen and develop cooperation in accreditation based on their powers and national legislation. At the same time, relevant projects will be developed to create an effective mechanism for technical collaboration and mutual exchange of information.

The document also provides for exchanging experience between the accreditation bodies, participating in international conferences and symposiums, holding joint workshops, and establishing an exchange of experts.

The protocol includes several issues, including joint control of the activities of conformity assessment bodies, monitoring of audit processes, and participation in witness assessment.
