In the ancient and ever-young city of Ganja, where every street carries the breath of history, a solemn event was held to mark the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The highlight of the evening was the performance of “Sevənlərindir dünya” – “The World Belongs to the Lovers”, a play by renowned Azerbaijani playwright Amir Pahlavan.

On the stage of the Ganja State Drama Theater, the audience witnessed a touching love story between two young people from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan – a story filled with tenderness, loyalty, and subtle lyricism.

Based on actual events, the performance became a vivid reflection of the spiritual unity and cultural kinship that transcend distance and time.

The celebration was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan in Ganja, whose efforts brought an exceptional warmth and heartfelt atmosphere to the event.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Deputy Chairwoman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, Gunay Efendiyeva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov, and Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan, Kanan Jalilov. Their speeches resonated as a tribute of respect and affection for the shared history, culture, and common path of the two nations whose past and future are interwoven into a single fabric of brotherhood.
