Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Italy has organized a virtual meeting on the opening of the branch of the University of Campania named after Luigi Vanvitelli (UniCampania) in the city of Bukhara.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the Hokimiyat and universities of Bukhara region, vice-rectors and professors of the Italian university, as well as the honorary consul of Uzbekistan in the Campania and Molise regions, Vittorio Giorgi.

The Uzbek side confirmed its readiness for the visit of UniCampania leadership to Uzbekistan in late May-early June to discuss the entire range of substantive and organizational issues of the project, with the possible signing of a corresponding agreement.

Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Uzokboy Begimkulov welcomed Campania University’s readiness to establish its own campus in Bukhara region.

UniCampania Vice-Rector Luigi Maffei confirmed the interest and readiness of this university to start practical work as soon as possible to establish a branch in the city of Bukhara.
