A delegation from Malaysia, which included representatives of the Sunview Group, specializing in producing renewable energy sources, visited Fergana region.
At the meeting with the region’s Hokim, issues related to constructing a 200 MW solar power plant in Fergana region were discussed. It is known that on July 18 this year in Tashkent, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, launched significant cooperation projects, this project being one of them.

Its cost is $150 million. It will be implemented using public-private partnership principles through direct investments from the Sunview Group.
Representatives of the investor company and the Ministry of Energy have agreed on the implementation of this project and tariffs for solar electricity. A land plot in Fergana region was selected for the project and offered to investors for technical and economic study. Construction of the solar power plant is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

At the meeting, the guests also provided information on the joint project “Global Textile”, carried out by the head of the group, Muzaffar Razzakov. They also put forward an initiative to install solar panels based on sponsorship in the homes of needy families. They exchanged views on promising projects for cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries. A proposal to open representative offices of the two regions in Malaysia and Fergana region was also discussed.
