A 101-year-old resident receives a “Shukhrat” medal

Hokim of Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region G. Mirzayev visited a 101-year-old resident of the region Mrs. Yanglish Khakkulova, who was awarded the country’s high award.

Every year several compatriots of the country are awarded high state awards on the occasion of Independence Day. And a special meaning is that among the awarded some have crossed the age-old milestone. They feel and appreciate our peaceful, prosperous life more than anyone else.

Mrs. Yanglish Khakkulova, who lives in Khavas district, raised 11 children and has 53 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren. In the post-war years, she selflessly mastered the steppes. She is contributing to educating the younger generation in the spirit of respect for national values and traditions.

The head of the region, accompanied by leaders of the district, presented the “Shukhrat” medal and holiday gifts. They talked about the peace and well-being of the people, prayed for peace in the country.
