These days, an essential date in the history of science in Uzbekistan, the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Academy of Sciences of the country, is widely celebrated.

A solemn event took place at the “Uzbekistan” Palace of International Forums. A congratulation from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was read out. Guests of honor, famous scientists, and presidents of academies of sciences of foreign countries delivered congratulatory speeches.

“For 80 years, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan has come a long and difficult way”, says the President of the Academy of Sciences Bekhzod Yuldoshev. “The Academy has become a generally recognized scientific center that has won the prestige and respect of the world scientific community”.

As part of the event, a documentary film “The Foundation of the Third Renaissance” was shown, dedicated to the creation and development of the Academy of Sciences, state support for science during the years of independence, the improvement of research activities, as well as a concert program with the participation of masters of the art of Uzbekistan.

Today, the Academy of Sciences will host a roundtable discussion on cooperation with the participation of foreign guests and presidents of the Academies of Sciences of several countries.
