Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power is building 2 wind farms with a capacity of 500 MW each (total of 1000 MW) in Bukhara region’s Peshku and Gijduvan districts.
The wind turbines of China’s Envision, with a capacity of 6.5 MW each, are being installed as part of these projects. To date, 73 wind turbines with a total capacity of 474.5 MW have already been installed.
The tower height of each turbine is 100 meters, the blade length is 84 meters.
158 such wind turbines will be installed as part of these projects.
400 MW of the capacity of these power plants will be used by the end of 2024.
After the complete commissioning of the equipment, 3 billion 600 million kWh of electricity will be produced per year. As a result, savings of 1 billion 100 million cubic meters of natural gas will be achieved, and the release of 1 million 500 thousand tons of dangerous gases into the atmosphere will be prevented.
At the same time, within the framework of these projects, power transmission lines with a length of 260 kilometers and a voltage of 500 kV will be built, and 2 open switchgears with a voltage of 500 kV will be installed.
