Uzbekistan participates in the Wiki Loves Monuments International Photo Contest, dedicated to cultural heritage sites.

The contest, with the participation of more than 40 countries, has been held since 2010. The primary attention is paid to historical monuments and sights. Those wishing to participate in the competition must take pictures of cultural heritage sites of Uzbekistan on October 1–31, 2023, and upload them to the Wikimedia Commons repository.

As part of the contest, it is planned to upload photos of at least five thousand historical monuments and create 100 articles in Uzbek and Russian. The authors of the best works will be awarded certificates and valuable gifts.
