According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, about 9000 students-athletes from 120 countries will take part in the competitions, which are held every two years. Championships will be held in 18 sports.
42 representatives from Uzbekistan will compete for medals in athletics, judo, WTF taekwondo, tennis, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, bullet shooting and archery.
