Bukhara hosted the opening ceremony of the Abu Ali ibn Sina International Biology Olympiad.
It was attended by Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education Sardor Rajabov, representatives of the regional hokimiyat, authorized organizations, and young people from different countries.

The participants exchanged views on the importance of this competition and its role in the life of the participants.


It was emphasized that scientists are still studying the considerable role of the outstanding thinker Abu Ali ibn Sina in the development of world science, his activities, and his legacy.

30 teams from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, India, Kuwait, Belarus, Qatar, Georgia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan will compete in this international Olympiad, which will run from 9 to 14 June this year. Leading foreign scientists, experts, and teachers will evaluate the testing process.
A concert took place after the opening ceremony.
