Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Musa Jamanbayev.
According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Views were exchanged on the organization of the visit of the Uzbekistan governmental delegation to Kyrgyzstan.

The sides also discussed issues of further building up the investment interaction. 291 enterprises with Kyrgyz capital are operating in Uzbekistan. The parties expressed their readiness to increase the number of joint projects in the territories of the two countries, in particular in the production of finished textile, pharmaceutical, construction and agricultural products.

Representatives of the two countries discussed the activities of the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, which has already begun financing a project in urban transport worth $1.85 million.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
