A meeting of the 8th Syrdarya District Commission was held in the region.

The issue of the formation of polling stations for the referendum was considered at the meeting, which was led by the Chairman of the Commission P. Akhmedjanova.

The Law “On the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan” states that polling stations are formed by district commissions for holding a referendum on the proposal of the hokims of districts and cities. In military units, they are formed on the recommendation of the commanders of units or military formations.

Based on the submissions, it was decided to create 287 polling stations for holding a referendum in the region. They will be organized in general secondary schools, colleges, lyceums, technical schools and universities, five – in mahalla citizens’ assemblies and medical institutions, 9 – at state enterprises and organizations, 28 – in culture and sports centers, four – in justice bodies, military units and places of imprisonment.  The list of sites will be published in the media of the region.

Other issues related to the activities of the district were also discussed at the meeting. Relevant decisions were made on the discussed issues.
