Over the past four years, 25 contracts for the purchase and sale of electricity with a total capacity of 11,954 MW, as well as investment contracts for $10 billion 148 million have been signed with international companies to increase the generating capacity in Uzbekistan.

According to these agreements, by the end of 2026, 25 power plants with a total capacity of 11,954 MW (nine thermal and solar, seven wind power plants) will be put into operation in the country.

According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this will amount to more than 60 percent of the current electricity production in Uzbekistan.
