The Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan hosts an exhibition “20th Anniversary of the Czech – Uzbekistan Archaeological Expedition”.
According to the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, since 2002, the Czech – Uzbekistan archaeological expedition, sponsored by the Charles University (Prague) and Termez State University, has been conducting regular archaeological field research in various regions of Surkhandarya region in southern Uzbekistan. The archaeological sites of Sherabad oasis have been studied for 10 years, including after excavations in Djandavlattepe, research was carried out in the foothills of Kohitangtog and Boysuntog, and in 2021 the creation of an archaeological map of the Jarkurgan region began. An international team conducted research to collect information about the archaeological sites of the East Kohitangtog steppes and the dynamics of their location.
The exhibition presents scientific activity over the past period, its results in the form of samples of archaeological finds, text panels, plans for archaeological excavations, photographs from research sites.
