18 more countries have replenished the geography of exports of fruits and nuts

The value of exports of fruits and nuts increased from $417.2 million in 2017 to $618.6 million in 2022 or 1.5 times.

The most growing export items were watermelon, cherry, strawberry, fig and dried apple.

In 2022, in the structure of exports of fruits and nuts, the largest share fell on fresh grapes – 31.7 percent, dried grapes (raisins) – 13.6 percent and peaches – 11 percent. Next come persimmon, cherry, prunes, melon, watermelon, and walnut.

It is noteworthy that in 2017-2022, another 18 countries, including Belgium, Algeria, Mexico, Brazil, Slovakia, and others, replenished the geography of Uzbekistan’s fruit and nut exports. The top 5 export markets are traditionally represented by Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China and Türkiye.
