At the briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abror Mamatov, said that as a result of mass riots in Karakalpakstan, 18 citizens were killed and seriously injured. 245 people were injured, including 38 law enforcement officers.

Investigative and operational-search activities continue. They are carried out in strict accordance with the existing norms. All measures are taken to ensure the rule of law and the inevitability of punishing the perpetrators.
