On August 6, the 12th World Games officially began in the city of Chengdu, China.

Throughout the day, qualifying rounds were held in several team sports, while the main competitions are scheduled to commence on August 7.

According to organizers, more than 4,000 athletes from 114 countries have registered to participate in the World Games.

As reported by the Ministry of Sports, Uzbekistan’s athletes will compete in kickboxing, muay thai, wushu, and sambo. The national delegation includes 3 wushu athletes, 1 muay thai fighter, 8 in sambo, and 7 in kickboxing, all aiming for top results.

The 12th World Games will run through August 17.
