A meeting of the 11th Fergana District Commission for holding a referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.

The participants discussed the preparation of sites for the referendum.

Chairman of the Commission Erkinjon Nuraliyev noted that by the Law “On the Referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, referendum sites are established taking into account the boundaries of districts, cities. All conditions are created for citizens who have the right to participate in the referendum. Referendum sites are organized in military units, sanatoriums, hospitals and other stationary medical institutions, in places where citizens are located in remote and hard-to-reach areas, in places of detention and deprivation of liberty.

“The polling stations are organized by district commissions for holding a referendum on the proposal of hokims of districts and cities”, says the Chairman of the 11th Fergana District Commission E. Nuraliyev. – In military units, they are established on the proposal of the commanders of formations and military units. Based on the submissions, it was decided to create 1209 polling stations for holding a referendum in Fergana region.
