12 universities teach in Kazakh, Turkmen, Kyrgyz and Tajik languages
Political Advisor to the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Anton Thomsen met with the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Hakimov.
The parties discussed the issues of ensuring the rights of national minorities in acquiring education, in particular, education in Kazakh, Turkmen, Tajik and Kyrgyz languages.
“Lessons in some higher education institutions are taught in Kazakh, Tajik, Turkmen and Kyrgyz, along with the Uzbek, Russian and Karakalpak languages”, says Mr. Hakimov. – Various events are held.
