Qatar hosts Expo 2023 Doha.

During his state visit to Qatar, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in opening the first “green” exhibition in the region.

At the exhibition, which will run until March 28, 2024, 80 countries will present their capabilities and initiatives to three million visitors. Uzbekistan scientists offer their vision of solving environmental problems.

112 types of selected agricultural products from Uzbekistan were brought to the exhibition with a total weight of five tons. A special place was occupied by expositions of all kinds of field crops, legumes, dried and fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and various industrial products.

In addition, at this prestigious event, microgreens, green fodder for livestock farming, hybrid varieties capable of producing crops several times a year, and the latest breeding varieties in horticulture were presented for the first time.

Research institutes demonstrate new developments in cotton growing, grain growing, seed growing, In vitro technology, and drones needed by the industry. It is noted that guests are showing great interest in grapes, pears, citrus fruits, and dried fruits grown in Uzbekistan.

All specialists related to the creation of smart agriculture are participating in this forum. Talks are being held with large companies in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar on cultivating vegetables and microgreens and producing dried fruits.
