Recently, a delegation from the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, led by Acting Chairman Mirmukhsin Sultanov, visited Istanbul.

The trip aimed to effectively prepare for the third meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Uzbekistan and Türkiye on behalf of the Presidential Administration.

According to the Association, the delegation visited the international exhibition of home textiles “HOMETEX-2024” and held talks with representatives of Turkish companies. An agreement was reached with Zorlu Holding on the implementation of a project worth $100 million for the production of home textiles in Uzbekistan. 

The issues of holding the Textile Investment Forum in Istanbul were discussed with the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association and the Türkiye Exporters Assembly. A memorandum on establishing bilateral cooperation was signed.
