Moscow hosted a week-long seminar for executives and journalists of news agencies and other media outlets from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The event took place at the headquarters of the Russian News Agency TASS and brought together representatives of state news agencies and major media organizations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) was represented by its staff members.
The seminar program included both theoretical sessions and practical training workshops. Experienced journalists from TASS and invited Russian media experts conducted a series of masterclasses and lectures on the most pressing issues in the modern media industry.
Key topics included the integration of artificial intelligence and neural networks into editorial workflows, the use of advanced media technologies, the verification and reliability of information, and the enhancement of journalists’ professional skills.
Participants had the opportunity not only to listen to expert presentations but also to apply their new knowledge in practice. The seminar featured interactive sessions, discussions, and creative assignments designed to simulate real newsroom conditions.
The initial sessions of the seminar were dedicated to studying the potential of artificial intelligence. An equally important part of the program focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of content. Throughout the seminar, considerable attention was given to refining the traditional professional skills of journalists.
Separate sessions addressed the technical aspects of media production, while practical workshops provided an in-depth look at how neural networks can serve as valuable tools for modern journalism. Participants also took part in informative tours of the TASS headquarters.
Such meetings of colleagues from CIS countries once again proved their value, serving as an effective platform for sharing experiences and strengthening creative ties within the Commonwealth’s media community.
