The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan team participated in the 8th International competition “Team Spirit”, held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

With a record-breaking performance, Uzbekistan’s reconnaissance team raised the national flag atop the highest podium.

The competition took place at the National Counter-Terrorism Training Center of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Pabbi city).

A total of 31 teams participated, including 17 international teams from 14 countries – Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (4 teams), the United States, Morocco, China, Jordan, Iraq, Türkiye, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Qatar – and 14 teams from the host country, Pakistan.

According to the rules, teams were required to complete a 90 km route within 60 hours, navigating through seven checkpoints by azimuth and completing a variety of special tasks at each: tactical and special training, marksmanship, medical and engineering tasks, communications, protection against weapons of mass destruction, military topography, and unexpected test challenges.

Although Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense team started the course from the 17th position, they successfully completed every stage and were the first to reach the finish line.

This performance demonstrated exceptional teamwork and a high level of mission execution by our servicemen.

It is worth highlighting that the Uzbekistan team set a competition record by evacuating a 90 kg “wounded” comrade in full gear over a 5 km distance in just 34 minutes and 15 seconds.

The final rankings of the competition were as follows:

1st place – Republic of Uzbekistan (score: 95%);

2nd place – China (score: 74%);

3rd place – Bahrain (score: 65%).

The Uzbekistan Ministry of Defense team was awarded gold medals at the closing ceremony.
