A presentation of the literary and publicistic collection “Uzbekistan: The Third Renaissance – The Concept of the Future”, written in Urdu by well-known Pakistani journalist and writer Muhammad Abbas Khan, was held in Islamabad.
The event was opened by Alisher Tukhtayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, who delivered a welcoming address. The diplomat noted that, thanks to the reforms carried out in recent years under the leadership of the Head of State, Uzbekistan has entered an era of openness and progress.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the author Muhammad Abbas Khan and to the leadership of the Daily Ittehad publishing house for their contribution to the writing and publication of this work. He emphasized that the book will make an essential contribution to strengthening friendship and solidarity between the two nations.
In his remarks, Ataullah Tarar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, spoke about the historical ties between the peoples of the two nations, noting that the land of Uzbekistan gave the world the great representatives of the Timurid dynasty, including such eminent scholars as Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. According to the Minister, the region linking Central and South Asia has always been an essential part of the Great Silk Road, and the modern policy of Uzbekistan, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is aimed at reviving this historic path of cooperation.
Concluding his speech, Minister Ataullah Tarar reaffirmed the readiness of Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to provide full support in promoting the book and the ideas of the Third Renaissance put forward by the President of Uzbekistan among the Pakistani public.
In his address, Muhammad Abbas Khan, the author of the book, spoke about the process of writing it, the ideas reflected in its pages, and its primary purpose. According to him, the work is based on his research, observations, and personal impressions, and offers an objective portrayal of the ongoing renewal processes in Uzbekistan.
