Uzbekistan diplomats met with a member of the Senate of the Italian Parliament, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata, in Rome. The prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy, as well as with the European Union, were discussed.

The Italian Senator noted the importance of deepening comprehensive relations between the European Union and Uzbekistan. He stated that international policy issues are of great importance in Italy, as in all EU countries, and today, 70-75 percent of legislative documents adopted by the Italian Senate are being considered.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy Abat Fayzullayev also discussed with the Senator the organization of bilateral and multilateral events, including significant business forums planned for 2024 and 2025.
