The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

The Minister conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, and the Vice President, Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, to the President of Uzbekistan.

The further expansion of practical cooperation in priority areas based on the adopted roadmap was discussed.

The historic outcomes of the President of Uzbekistan’s visit to the UAE in January this year were noted with particular satisfaction. During that visit, the multifaceted relations between the two countries were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership.

Bilateral trade volumes, the number of joint ventures, and direct flights are steadily increasing. The portfolio of projects involving leading UAE companies amounts to approximately $20 billion.

Special attention was given to the advancement of cooperative projects in green energy, the electrical engineering sector, agriculture, and the modernization of water management, public utilities, and transport infrastructure in the regions of Uzbekistan.

Preparations for upcoming high-level events were also discussed.
