
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, concluded the historic state visit to the French Republic.
During his stay in Paris, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held productive negotiations with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.


Following the summit, a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership was adopted, along with a comprehensive package of agreements covering various areas of cooperation.
The President of Uzbekistan also participated in a roundtable discussion with leaders of France’s top companies, banks, and organizations. A Cooperation Program in Investment and Innovation was also approved, outlining specific joint projects worth €6.5 billion.


For his significant contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was awarded the Order of the Legion of Honour, the highest distinction of the French Republic.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Speaker of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, and the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. A ceremony was also held to name a street in Paris after Samarkand.


During negotiations with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, discussions focused on prospects for further cooperation and preparations for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.

Following the visit, the French Minister of Sports and Youth, Marie Barsacq, and other officials saw off the President of Uzbekistan at Orly International Airport.
The President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent.
