On April 5, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The heads of state discussed key issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

Particular attention was given to accelerating the implementation of joint projects and cooperation programs in trade, economics, investment, and the humanitarian sphere.

The upcoming schedule of high-level meetings was also reviewed.

Views were exchanged on regional cooperation, including within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
