The Organization for Economic Cooperation in Central Asia held an online conference on “The current state and investment opportunities of Uzbekistan’s seed industry”.

At the event, Shukhrat Otajonov, Director of the Seed Development Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation.

The conference also featured participation from representatives of leading Turkish companies and authorized institutions. Jahongir Karimov, Director of the Agricultural Product Quality Assessment Center, along with industry experts, shared their perspectives.

The conference covered an in-depth discussion on the current state of seed production in Uzbekistan, including government incentives supporting the sector, export potential, international market requirements, investment opportunities, and promising areas for collaboration.

Following the event, important agreements were reached to expand cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan in seed production, including the exchange of experiences and the joint implementation of prospective projects.
