An international seminar for training qualified chess arbiters was organized in Samarkand jointly by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.

The week-long seminar was aimed at ensuring effective preparation for the 46th World Chess Olympiad, which will be hosted in Samarkand in 2026, as well as supporting the participation of Uzbek chess arbiters in international competitions. Experienced FIDE experts conducted the training sessions.

Following the event, more than 30 participants who successfully passed the testing received special certificates.
