Every year, on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, several fellow compatriots receive high state awards. In particular, special honors are given to veterans whose age has exceeded the centennial milestone. They are awarded “Shukhrat” medals in recognition of their services to the state and society.
This year, Naziba Galimova from Qipchoq mahalla in Khorezm region’s Bagat district was awarded the “Shukhrat” medal.
The head of the region, Jurabek Rakhimov, visited Naziba Galimova, solemnly presented her with the award, and discussed with her the changes taking place in the country.
“I’ve been through a lot in my long life: hard times, hunger, devastation”, says Naziba Galimova. “I am deeply grateful to the Almighty for the current time of peace and tranquility, and I wish to express my appreciation to the country’s leadership. May their work be successful and their health strong!”
