Victory for Uzbekistan’s Greco-Roman wrestlers
The Greco-Roman wrestling events at the U23 Asian Wrestling Championships have concluded in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Uzbekistan’s national team, led by Rustam Assakalov, won 4 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal. According to the final results, Uzbekistan athletes scored 189 points and took first place in the overall team standings.
In particular, our wrestlers Khojiakbar Kuchkorov (-55 kg), Aytjan Khalmakhanov (-67 kg), Abdullo Aliyev (-77 kg), and Rakhimjon Uzokov (-87 kg) won gold medals. Ozodbek Khalimboyev (-63 kg) and Azimjon Soatullayev (-82 kg) earned silver medals, while Shakhzod Kuchkorov (-72 kg) won a bronze medal.
Kazakhstan’s national team finished second in the overall team standings, while third place went to representatives of Kyrgyzstan.
