UzCharmExpo-Eurasia 2026 establishes itself as a key platform for the leather and footwear industry
The 20th international exhibition of leather, footwear, haberdashery, fur, karakul, and localized products, UzCharmExpo-EurAsia 2026, has opened in Tashkent.
At the international event organized by the Uzcharmsanoat Association in cooperation with several partners, about 100 companies from Central Asia, as well as Italy, Türkiye, Iran, China, and Russia, are showcasing their capabilities.
At the official opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association Shukhrat Aliyev and other speakers highlighted that UzCharmExpo-EurAsia 2026 helps increase production, boost exports, and attract investment to the country.
As noted by Shukhrat Aliyev, the country’s leather, footwear, wool, fur, various leather goods, and accessories industries are continuously expanding. Analysis shows that while roughly 900 million square decimeters of leather were produced over the past five years, the figure has now doubled to 1.8 billion square decimeters. Footwear production has grown from 120 million to 200 million pairs. Export volumes, which previously stood at $70 million, increased to $110 million by the end of last year, reaching 42 countries. This year, the goal is to raise that figure to $150 million.
During the exhibition, which ends on April 9, B2B, G2B, and G2G meetings are taking place.
