Uzbekistan Heritage Day held for the first time at the New York Mayor’s Residence
For the first time, Uzbekistan Heritage Day was celebrated at the residence of the Mayor of New York – a vibrant cultural and diplomatic event organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States in cooperation with Star Entertainment Uz.
The celebration brought together representatives of official and business circles of the United States, the diplomatic corps, academic and cultural communities, as well as members of the Uzbek diaspora residing in New York and other cities.
Opening the event, New York Mayor Eric Adams noted that the Uzbek people possess a unique culture and ancient traditions that continue to resonate in the city’s multicultural society. He emphasized that the activity and unity of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States deserve special recognition and respect.

The program featured an exhibition of national arts and crafts, where guests viewed gold embroidery, adras and atlas textiles, ceramics, painted artworks, and miniatures. National costumes and photographs of Uzbekistan’s architectural gems drew particular attention.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by performances of traditional Uzbek music and dance, as well as a tasting of national dishes – aromatic plov, samsa, flatbread, and oriental sweets.
