Uzbekistan expands global cooperation on digital transformation
On the sidelines of the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov participated in a session titled “Connecting Asia and the Pacific: The Digital Highway for Inclusive and Trusted Growth”.
The session was also attended by ADB President Masato Kanda, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google Vint Cerf, Executive Vice President at Mastercard Data and Services Helena Forest, and Secretary-General of the International Telecommunications Union Doreen Bogdan-Martin.

During the session, issues related to digital transformation, regional integration, inclusive growth, and digital infrastructure development were discussed.
In his remarks, Minister Sherzod Shermatov outlined Uzbekistan’s achievements in digital technologies, including the development of the startup ecosystem, ongoing programs to enhance human capital, and strategic priorities in artificial intelligence and research activities.

Following the session, participants received comprehensive answers to all their questions.
This platform is crucial for expanding Uzbekistan’s global cooperation in digital transformation, strengthening regional integration, and advancing sustainable development initiatives.
