Uzbekistan and Russia to create a joint venture in oilfield services
During the 28th International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU 2026” in Tashkent, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Russia’s NPP Burintech LLC.
The document provides for the establishment of a joint venture to drill and maintain oil and gas wells in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The project is planned to be implemented at the joint Bekabad Russia-Uzbekistan Technopark in Tashkent region, the concept of which was presented in April 2026 at the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”.
The implementation of the initiative will contribute to the development of industrial cooperation, the introduction of advanced technologies in the oil and gas sector, and the expansion of Russia-Uzbekistan cooperation in the energy sector.
