Urban planning – new facets of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan

Issues of further cooperation in disaster management and infrastructure rehabilitation, construction of smart cities, development of tourism, production of electrical equipment, engineering, consulting and others were discussed at the conference. The event was also attended by Turkey’s private sector representatives for establishing cooperation.
Presentation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Disaster management and infrastructure rehabilitation” was held.
At the conference on “Development of tourism”, issues of further cooperation between the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan were raised. Presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and prospects for further cooperation with highly developed countries in this field was held.
Representatives of Japanese and Turkish companies shared their practical experience in organizing infrastructure with their Uzbek colleagues, as well as investing in the sector of research and development in the real sector of economy.
The conference ended with a joint session of representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan, Japan and Turkey. Projects of major Japanese and Turkish enterprises were presented.
Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
