The regional governor participated in the "Independence Lesson"
Today marked the official start of the new 2026–2027 academic year at the higher education institutions in the Andijan region. In honor of this, a celebratory event was held at the Andijan State Medical Institute.
The Hokim of Andijan region, Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov, took part in the event, congratulating the professors, faculty, staff, and students of all higher educational institutions in the region on the start of the new academic year.
"First and foremost, thanks to independence, we have gained a great blessing – peace. Moreover, independence has returned our national and religious values, allowed for the restoration of historical truth, and created the opportunity for us to realize our identity," said the regional hokim, Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov. "Thanks to independence, broad opportunities are being created for our country's youth to acquire knowledge, master professions, and realize their talents and potential."

If our youth today can make wise use of these opportunities, protect the country's independence, and appreciate peace, their love for the Motherland and their faith in the future will undoubtedly be strengthened. The future of a country with youth who love their Motherland and have a strong belief in tomorrow will certainly be bright.
During the solemn ceremony, an artistic program was presented, consisting of poetry readings and beautiful songs prepared by talented youth and students, which praised the Motherland, peace, and the vigor of youth.
After the ceremony, the regional hokim conducted an "Independence Lesson" for the institute's students under the motto, "As one Motherland, one people, we will create a new life and future!"

During the lesson, which was held as an open and sincere dialogue, the regional hokim spoke about the reforms and creative processes being implemented in our country. In particular, he focused on the reforms in the education system, especially in higher education, the further development of higher education, and the wide range of opportunities being created for students.
He called upon the students to acquire thorough knowledge, make effective use of the opportunities provided, and grow to become dedicated individuals who will make a worthy contribution to the country's development in the future.
