Employees of the Customs Service of the Republic of Karakalpakstan became familiar with the operations and export potential of the joint venture LLC Nukus Med Tex, which produces high-quality disposable medical products.

The enterprise manufactures 250 million units of medical products annually – 12 types of syringes and infusion systems. To date, 12 tons of products worth 54,000 USD have been exported. Within the framework of the customs regime for import processing, 168 tons of raw materials worth $522,000 were imported.

Entrepreneurs were given a detailed explanation of the advantages of the simplified processing regime in the customs zone, introduced based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to simplify the processing of goods in the customs zone” of September 2, 2025.

The introduction of this regime, on the one hand, contributes to reducing the costs of domestic manufacturers, and on the other, lowers the price of products and increases their availability for the population.
