The Friendship Forum of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan – Foundation for Growing Regional Integration
Proposals to strengthen integration efforts were presented at the Friendship Forum of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan held in Fergana.
Nodira Jonibekova, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasized the importance of strengthening Central Asia’s legal status as a region that connects the East and West.

“Based on the results of the dialogue between scientists, lawyers, and political scientists at the conference, it is necessary to develop proposals for institutionalizing integration in the new C6 format and clarifying legal mechanisms”, said N. Jonibekova. “Taking into account the dynamics of global processes, the assessment of the region’s security should be conducted not only from a political and military perspective but also from an economic, social, environmental, and informational perspectives. This requires introducing a regional approach in a new format.
Undoubtedly, the new cooperation format between Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan will help build lasting ties between the region and the South Caucasus. Integration processes are seen as crucial for expanding a stable and secure transport corridor that grants access to international markets for the Central Asian States”.
