Tennis: Maria Timofeeva to compete for the semifinals of the WTA 125 Tournament in Türkiye

Uzbekistan’s Maria Timofeeva reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 125 Tournament in Istanbul.

In the second round, M. Timofeeva defeated Adelina Lachinova from Latvia – 6:4, 6:3. In the quarterfinals, she will face Francesca Jones from the UK.

Two members of the Uzbekistan national team will take part in the tournament’s quarterfinals, with a $115,000 prize fund. Earlier, Polina Kudermetova defeated Alice Tubello from France.
