Student from Jizzakh becomes Asian champion
At the Asia and Oceania Sambo Championships for senior athletes in Manila, Uzbekistan’s athletes achieved another outstanding result: Sevinch Isroilova, a student at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, became the continental champion.

The competition, held in the Philippines for the first time, brought together the strongest sambo athletes from Asia and Oceania, with more than 500 competitors from 31 countries competing for the title.
Sevinch Isroilova demonstrated exceptional skill and the determination to win. Her result marked another achievement for the Jizzakh region sambo school and for the country as a whole on the international stage. The athlete’s success is the result of many years of hard work, her coaches’ high level of expertise, and the consistent reforms being implemented in the country to develop sport.
The achievements of talented athletes studying at higher education institutions in international competitions are a vivid confirmation of the extensive practical work underway in New Uzbekistan to support youth policy and sports.
