Pearls of the East 2026

An international scientific and practical conference titled “The Akhal-Teke Horse – a Symbol of Friendship Among Peoples” was held in Tashkent as part of the Pearls of the East 2026 equestrian competitions and demonstrations.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, the leadership of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of Uzbekistan, representatives of foreign equestrian federations, the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, and specialists, scholars, researchers, and journalists from scientific and academic circles.

Issues related to the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports, the expansion of international cooperation, the introduction of scientific approaches into practice, and the preservation and popularization of national traditions were discussed.

Bakhromjon Goziyev, Chairman of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of Uzbekistan, highlighted the Akhal-Teke breed’s historical significance, its role on the international stage, and prospects for development of the industry.
