Ombudsman participates in the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions took place in Geneva, Switzerland.
The prestigious event, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva in partnership with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, was attended by Feruza Eshmatova, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
Meetings of the Bureau of the Global Alliance, the General Assembly, gatherings of representatives from regional networks of national human rights institutions, and an annual conference dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights in the digital space were held.

During the event, Feruza Eshmatova held bilateral meetings with representatives from various international organizations and foreign ombudspersons. Specifically, she met with members of the Asia-Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Global Alliance, and the United Nations Development Programme office in Geneva.
At the event, advanced practices in ensuring human rights were discussed.

Reports from national human rights institutions across regions provided valuable opportunities to gain detailed insights into modern approaches, practical mechanisms, and effective practices in this field.
